The inspiration and questto use up food in the house continues! I realized this week that I had a lot, and I mean a lot of carrots in the fridge. Has this ever happened to you?
There are a few reasons for this. Frist of all, the last time I officially went shopping, I did not have a list (gasp) and bought carrots even though I had a whole bag of them already. Add to that the last minute, unofficial stop at the store while escaping the water crisis in Longview to do laundry, another bag of carrots! You see, in return for a place to do laundry, shower and to rest our weary heads, I offered to make dinner for my brothers and their families. The only thingI was actually thinking about when we left our house though was laundry and shower supplies. Alas, the extra shopping trip and extra bag of carrots.
Not to worry though. This week has been interesting an inspiring. I love using up the food in the house. It feels so much better than throwing stuff out! In doing so, I made a few dishes with carrots!
